My 7 year old daughter and I will be in London in July and plan on taking the tube and buses most of the time. If we decided to take a taxi, would we require a child car seat or booster seat or can children legally ride in an official London cab without one?
Thanks,Helen
Helen taxis in London( and basically everywhere else) are just like taxis in Vancouver, they are exempt from car seat laws.
Most European and other countries treat taxis as a commercial transport (i.e. bus, train, etc) so therefore, there are no laws requiring car seats and no mandatory seat belts (though some may have them).
