I'm looking for an application that will help me find a taxi when I need one. In London but also in the Southeast I've heard about uber... but I thought there might be a London cab App as well. Cheers!

Hailo gets a lot of press. I've never used it because I've used one taxi in the last 15 years but it is in the paper a lot (good press, never seen bad press about it). Available on iOS, dunno about other systems.

Haven't used them but here are a couple.....GetTaxi-Taxi Cab App and ubiCabs app both are free.

Uber is great but pricey in London...I believe it's 7 pounds to have them pick you up and then 4 pounds per mile after that. They only have the equivalent of town cars...no hybrids like they have here in the states. Convenient but it's a little pricey.
