Sweden with my Rick Steves book

Stockholm is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe with a human scale that makes it delightful. When my son decided to study abroad in Sweden, I bought him his own copy of the Scandinavian book and he found it useful. He stayed in Central Hotel his first night and thought it was nice but he really liked City Backpackers and stayed there several times when he went into the city. When I visited in early June, I couldn’t find a room at any of the Rick Steves recommended hotels and he talked me into going to the City Backpackers but, alas, they were full as well. I ended up staying in the Arlanda airport Radisson because it had a good rate and I could take the train or bus into the city. I was only there 2 nights and it was a much nicer hotel than I expected. But the view is of the inside of terminal really! The other airport Radisson is on the edge of the parking lot so at least you’re outside but you have to take a shuttle bus to get anywhere. There is a youth hostel there in an old airplane which as sort of interesting.
