Coming from California, we will be in Europe for 2 weeks the end of Oct. The 1st week we will be on a canal boat outside of Nottingham (Mon to Mon). Don't know yet if we'll be flying in/out of London. Would like suggestions for the remainder of the 2nd week (Mon-Sat). Is it doable to try to fly to Ireland and tour for 5 days? or should we train to London and sightsee there? There are 5 of us, 2 have been to London already. None of us has been to Ireland. Or any other suggestions where we could go from Nottingham after the canal boat?

You could certainly go to Ireland or Scotland. Suggest if you do this and decide to skip London, suggest you fly into one city such as London and home from the other city, Edinburgh or Dublin etc so you are not backtracking.

London, York. I never tire of those two Cities. What interests you, there is such a choice of things to see
