My daughter will be spending her Junior year of college in England. She is required to get a Student Visa, I am wondering will she be required to get any other visas so she can travel to France, Italy, etc.?
You don't say, but assuming she is a US citizen then she will not need a visa to enter other EU countries to visit.
Her UK student visa bestows no special favours in the rest of the EU, so she won't be able to work outside the UK. Basically a US citizen has the same constraints entering from the UK they would have from the US - so she'll need to be aware of the Schengen 90 days-out-of 180 rule for example.
One thing to be aware of when she books her flights is the Common Travel Area between the UK and the Republic of Ireland; if she connects through the RoI this can cause some issues about getting the correct stamp to activate the visa.
Peter,
Thank you for the information.
