stopover on the way to Kylelochalsh

We will be arriving in Edinburg in the morning, picking up our rental car and heading to our base in Kyle Lochalsh. We are trying to decide where to stop for a night on the way. I'm thinking either the Ft William area or Oban. We want to do a short walk to help with jet lag and a good pub with some music and a reasonably priced hotel or B&B for the night. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

the run up to Fort William, via Bridge of Orchy is a much more scenic route than A9. You might want to do a walk up o the Hidden Valley in GlenCoe. For a pub the Clachaig in Glencoe, check their listings, its on the very quiet back road.. and a walkers favourite. Glen Coe village or even KinLochleven, might be a good stop over, and accomodation might be easier than Fort William.
If you already flew doubt you will get this in time?

Thanks for the info! We are actually not traveling until the end of September...sorry I wasn't more clear. I like the idea of staying near Glen Coe as that will allow us a more relaxed fist day.
