I've got to get to Stony Stratford to research the book that I'm writing. How do I get there? (I'd rather not rent a car).

From London, you can either go by train or bus, with the train the most expensive. There are many trains/day from London Euston station to Milton Keynes, but the cheapest I've been able to find is about 15 GBP each way, if you buy an off peak return ticket, probably because it's a busy commuter route.The trip takes anywhere from 1/2 to 1 hour. By bus, check out the same company's bus services. Regular fare is about 10 GBP each way, but advance purchases can be as low as 3. 1:30 to 1:45 for the trip. From Milton Keynes, there is a local bus route to or through Stony Stratford, which takes anywhere from 15 minutes to half an hour.....several buses/hour. Check www.mkweb.co.uk/busroutes/home.asp .
