stonehenge tour company--no reply

two weeks ago i booked a tour with stonehenge tour company for a date in july. i've not heard from them in any way--no confirmation email, no regular email after i'd emailed them and said something to the effect of 'hello, just wondering if you got our request!' to book the trip i filled out an online form that required my credit card info; as of now, our credit card has not been charged. so...now i'm wondering what to do. how do you cancel something you thought you booked but possibly didn't? i'd like to book another tour--with evan evans this time--as my husband really wants an after hours (or before hours) stonehenge tour, and there are very few of them that work with our dates. but i do not want to book another tour and then a month from now have a charge show up on our credit card for the original tour. i've officially written off stonehenge tour co. because i really don't feel good about taking a tour with a company that doesn't ever respond, yet i don't know how to get in touch with them to cancel because, well, they don't ever respond! any advice is greatly appreciated!

This site is infamous for its poor customer service.
It is not a tour operator but acts as an agent for other tours.
It used to be part of Astral Tours which went bust 2 or 3 years ago. The guy who run Astral I think kept the url and I think operates it on a part time / occassional basis.

If you want a special access tour to Stonehenge there are only 2 operators.
If the special access tour booked through Stonehenge Tour company visited Lacock and Bath as well as Stonehenge then the tour operator is Premium Tours.
If the tour also visited Avebury or Salisbury then the tour was with Anderson Tours.
Both have web sites which you can contact them through.

Evan Evans do not do special access tours, or afternoon tours come to that )Premium Tours do the afternoon tour).

Cant you just call your credit card company, and ask them to remove the charge?

we tried that, though as it wasn't charged yet, there's nothing to remove, and you can't block a company, you can only freeze the entire credit card (and THAT would be BAD!) we had them put a note on our account that we called about this particular company, and i also contacted the company and told them not to charge us. that's the best we could do--we're now looking in to other day trip options. thanks everyone!
