Stonehenge and summer solstice

We will be driving to Bath on Sunday June 22(summer solstice). Anybody have any idea if stopping at Stonehenge is possible or advisable on this day?

Thanks for your help.

I would contact the people at Stonehenge directly:

I couldn't find the information for visiting in the off-times. I know it was there a few years ago when I was looking to go. I saw some of the visitor comments and the people arrived around 2:45am for the solstice and it was busy already.

Hi Wayne,
I was at Stonehenge the day before solstice last year and they were expecting 10,000. You can enter and stay the night, no tents, etc but remember the sun comes up around 4 am. Their website gives you information about experiencing the solstice. Have fun!! Pam

We were in London a couple years ago and wanted to
take a day trip including Stonehedge on the summer
solstice, not realizing what day it was. None of
the companies was offering a Stonehedge stop that
day.
