Stockholm in November?

My husband has business in Stockholm over Thanksgiving this year and I'm trying to figure out whether the family should tag along. We already live in Europe but I'm still expecting the costs to be at least $1,000. We may have other opportunities to visit the city; just trying to figure out whether we should pass up this opportunity and make the trip another time. Any advice on temperature, light, etc. would be appreciated.

Anne, November is not an ideal time to visit Stockholm, but there are things to do. It is usually overcast at this time of year and it will generally be dark by 3pm. Tourist sights will have shorter hours.

However, the Skansen Christmas market usually begins the last weekend of November and if you are planning to stay the whole weekend, this is fun to visit. They will have hot drinks, special foods, crafts, etc. The houses will be decorated and there will be music and dancing. I think the Skansen Christmas market on the weekends is really fun.
