We are going to be in Bergen for two nights in early October. Like everyone else, I am looking for moderately priced (translate:cheap) place to stay that is clean, safe, convenient. Will need two rooms with baths. Has anyone stayed at the "Marken Gjestehus" recently. Thanks for the advice. Jane

If you want to shop for a cheap place to stay, do a google search for "Bergen Norway accommodations".
My experience with hostels all over the world has been positive. I always search for a double room to avoid the 20-bunk dorms. I have always found them cheap, clean, and safe. And convenient some times.

Hello Jane. In Bergen there is no moderately priced place that has a private bathroom. Norway is one of the world's most expensive countries for travelers.
