Stansted to South Kensington?

We will arrive at Stansted via EJ from Prague. We are staying in S Kensington and looking for the quickest and easiest way to our hotel. Train, bus, or Stansted Express--any advice appreciated!

Probably your best bet, altho the most expensive, would be the Stansted Express train to its terminus at Liverpool Street station, then a cab across London from the east end to your South Kensington accommodations in the west end. I usually avoid using the bus, since I've been caught more than once in some horrible traffic jams on the way into the city...but if you don't have too much luggage to schlep around, you may want to consider the Metro from Liverpool station to the South Kensington area. The Circle Line travels the route direct, meaning no need to change trains in the underground, travelling from Liverpool Street to South Kensington and Gloucester Road stops. Travel time is 25-30 minutes. To look at options, check the travel planner at http://www.tfl.gov.uk...maps are also available there.

What time of day will you arrive?

You can take a coach from STN to Victoria. Terravison and National Express leave regularly throughout the day. You can buy your tickets on arrival and go with whichever is leaving first.

You will arrive at Victoria and from there it is quite easy to get to South Kensington. Buses, Tube and taxi choices are many.

I'd skip Stansted Express because it will drop you at the other end of London. The coach is direct.

While I usually defer completely to Tim, our resident rail/coach/metro expert, here's another webpage with a list of your options:
