I'm arriving at Stansted and wanting to rent a car, visit Bath and Stonehenge and go back to our hotel at Stansted. Is this doable? How long does a car trip take from Stansted to Bath area? Thanks!

I assuming this is a full day trip. It is certainly "doable". The question to ask yourself are you going to get the experience that you want from it. Google maps has the Stansted to Bath drive at 3 hours. This doesn't account for a detour to Stonehenge and any other stoppages for food and what not.
Your route will take you around the M25 the London outer orbital which may also have some traffic issues and you will need to find parking in Bath.
So the question to ask is if you are spending 7-8 hours in a car how much are you actually being a tourist in Bath/Stonehenge.
