I have checked Alla, Denrus and Anasatia tour companies for 2 day tour of St. Pete. We would like to go with a group to get a better price, but no more than 10-12 people. Do you have other recommendations?

I booked a private tour of Tsarskoe Selo through this outfit in 2006, and was completely satisfied. The young woman who was my guide was refreshingly candid, and the gentleman who drove me back to my hotel told me amazing stories. A highlight of my trip to St Petersburg.

We used Peter's walking tours in St. Pete. Alina was our guide (and she apparantly guided Rick once while he was there). They have a number of small group tours available. I think the walking tours are the most intimate way to explore a city...check them out and decide for yourself.

I had been trying to arrange something for our trip next month with Peters walking tours, but finally gave up because it was taking them weeks in between each email. We were trying to arrange a private tour so I am sure it is easier if you are booking one of their existing tours. I have also found a few recommendations for Red October tours. Good luck.
I notice you didn't mention Red October. The two tour guides I normally hear good things about are Denrus and Red October.
