Have any of you been in Dublin for St. Patrick's Day? I will be there this year and am wondering what to expect. I have visited the festival website, but am looking for tips from those that have participated in the past. What parts of the multi-day festival should not be missed?
Surely somebody is familiar with St. Patrick's Day in Dublin?
;-)
Heavily celebrated there. Sort of like asking which day of Mardi Gras is the best.
Best parade ever - the only idiots wearing white cable-knit sweaters and tweed caps were from America (and they were on the sidelines and not actually marching in the parade).
Hi, my husband and I will be there this year also. I ordered tickets for the grandstand to watch the parade on Monday March 17, plus we plan on going to the pubs to celebrate.
We're also interested in any other recommendations.
Three things:
I am jealous.
Have a fantastic time....and the most important.
Don't plan too much...because you will go w/the flow.
PS: Remember dont wear orange on St. Pat's. :)
