Does anyone have advice on what to expect during St. Patrick's Day in Dublin? Will sights be closed, too crowded, really cold, etc...???? Thanks
Hi Darcie, Sights closed - No (17th mostly yes, except for pubs/resturants). Too crowded - Yes, think Temple Bar District, nah, make that all of Dublin. Really cold - Yes, think below 50F. FUN - HECK YES! It's a four/five day party and I am going in 2010.
Wanted to take my daughter for 16th during St. Pats day as it is her b-day. Good idea or not?
I'm not sure I understand your post, Judy. What are you asking?
Hey Judy -
For a 16 year old, St Patrick's Day in Dublin might be too rowdy (perhaps not for her taste, but it might be overwhelming with college-age and older people and I don't know if they put more stringent restrictions on under-age in pubs). Temple Bar turns into a giant block party as I understand it from my friend who lives in Dublin. It depends on your tolerance of rowdiness and partying. She might enjoy more if she were 18?
