Hello All, I am booking hotels for my employers' vacation in London. I would like to book them in a St. Pancras London Hotel (located on Euston Road). Is this a good area of london? Is it very accessible to Tube stops and the main hot spots of London? Any suggestions or comments welcome. Thank you!
If it is for your employer, why dont you go more "upscale"- Mayfair or St James or maybe West End. I have had employers cut their visit (to Italy) short because they were expecting American style hotels. Generally we try an be as close to the west End as we can even though its more pricey than Paddington/St Pancras/Victoria (RS areas). Mayfair is really great - quiet, very good hotels, close to West End and tourist sites, and on good tube Lines
It's about a mile north of most of the tourist attractions but OK for transport links. I believe they have just re-opened the station hotel after many years and after a major refit - it is supposed to be amazing.

I think Roger and Brian have both made excellent points. In terms of tube and rail access, no location could be better than KC/St.Pancras/Euston. But unless your bosses are on a tight budget, they would probably have a better time in the Marriott County Hall, directly across the Thames from Parliament and Big Ben. For someone who has never been to London, this would be their dream of London brought to life.
I'll second Roe's suggestion about the Marriott County Hall for your bosses, especially if they've never been to London. Failing that, look at the better hotels in the West End. St Pancras is a few hundred yards from another very large rail and Tube station, Kings Cross. That area is very good for transport, but really lacks much in the way of charm or interest. (Altho the British Library is just down the street.) Euston Road is a major and very busy thoroughfare. Be aware that London hotel rooms are typically smaller than rooms in American hotels.
