From Heathrow to Victoria station, I can see that I need to change to the District line at either Earl's Court or South Kensington. Not having been to either of these stations in a long time, I can't picture them. We will not have crazy amounts of luggage, but we will have enough...which station is easier to get through with all our stuff? Thanks!
Your best transfer station is Hammersmith. Get off the Piccadilly line train, walk a few feet to the other side of the same platform, take a District line train to Victoria.
Ooh, didn't even think of that one...thanks!
Tim is 100% correct. Hammersmith is the only easy transfer. No stairs!!
We're going to Earl's Court from Heathrow, sounds like transferring to the District Line at Hammersmith would save us the climb up as well. Thanks for the tip!
Dave, if you're going to Earl's Court from Heathrow, you don't have to change trains. The Piccadilly line stops at Earl's Court.
The Hammersmith transfer is the best!
I used to transfer at S Kensington until a station agent advised me the alternate route when that station was closed.
Yes I know, but changing at Hammersmith would be a walk across the platform to the District Line, which arrives at Earl's Court at the main level. If we stay on the Picadilly Line we'll have to walk up a bunch of stairs to get to the main level. It would be nice to avoid the stairs!
