My wife and I plan to visit my ancestral home from 3 September to 5 September 2013. Does anybody have recommendations where to stay? Larry

I only spent a few hours in Trondheim, so I have no specific recommendations, other than to note that I would choose a hotel closer to the cathedral than to the harbor. The area within about 3 km radius of the cathedral is quite charming. The harbor, however, is very industrial and kind of isolated from the rest of the city for pedestrians.
