Because of health problems I'm in the position of needing plenty of sleep but being very bad at it. Firm beds and noise make me miserable. Can anyone recommend a place to sleep in the 100-pound range?

Regarding the noise issue, have you tried earplugs? They work great for me. I prefer the foam cylinder type. I would suggest bringing an extra pair or two, since they do compress after a while (6-7 uses), making them less effective.
Yes, I'll definitely take some, thanks.

Noise is something a hotel clerk can help you with. You will need to ask them for the most quiet room they offer, and you probably don't want to stay in the "heart" of the city either.
I stayed at the Premiere Inn which is still in London, right next to the London Eye, but slightly off the beaten tourist path. The bed wasn't excessively hard, and I asked for the room away from the delivery zone. You can give that a try.
