Has anyone used the SkyShuttle lately from Heathrow to London? If so, do you recommend them over hiring 2 taxis for the 6 of us?

Barb, I would recommend using a car service rather than a shuttle or two taxis. This will be less expensive and a car service can get all 6 of you and your suitcases in one vehicle. While I have used a car service from Heathrow, it has been a while so I have no personal recommendations. I often see Simply Airports and Just Airports mentioned on tripadvisor. You might search there for reviews. You would need to request a " large MPV" (multi-purpose vehicle in British English, what we would call a minivan) to hold six of you.
