Hi we are a family of 3. My daughter is 16y/o and just loves to travel. Is it ok to drive all the way from London to Amsterdam thru rent a car come June 2010? We have 5 days to spare for the whole duration of our Amsterdam tour. Tnx.
Take Steve's advice and take the train. Most everything worth seeing along the way, is on the rail line: Rotterdam, The Hague, Antwerp, Brussels, Bruges, and Paris.
Tnx much for the quick reply. I will definetely take your advice-- that of taking the train.
Take Michael's advice and spend a couple of days traveling between London and Amsterdam.
I'd put Brugge at the top of the list of places to see.
Between Amsterdam and Bruges/Brussel, you don't need to make any kind of advance train reservations...simply purchase tickets at the station on the day of your journey. From Brussels to Paris/London, or Paris to London you have to use the Thalys or Eurostar high speed trains. You get the best prices by booking well in advance via their websites:
