Hello, My husband, our 9 yr old daughter and myself are traveling to Ireland this September. I would like a self catering place to stay for 4 days, but they seem to be run by companies in the UK and not offering and short break prices. I would rather rent from an Irish family directly. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks much and as Rick says "Happy Travels"

Did you look at the listings at www.discoverireland.com? That's the Irish tourism website, and they list self-catering as well as B&Bs and hotels.
