During a trip to England, I will visit several places before moving on to London. I wonder if anyone cares to recommend a shared-van company to take me from my hotel to the Gatwick express train station (Victoria ?), as opposed to using the Tube on my own to get there. Thanks.

Is a cab out of the question? How far from Vic. Station is your hotel?

You can also get a (cheaper and not much longer journey time) train to Gatwick Airport from London Bridge Station.

Shared vans (e.g. hotel shuttles) don't really exist in London ... probably since there is good transportation by tube and bus. Assuming that your hotel is in Central London, just take a taxi.

Thanks to all. All I know is, then last two times I visitd London, I pre-arranged for a van company to pick me up a the train station and take me to my hotel, then take me back again. Maybe "shared van" is an inappropriate term. Cab ? Certainly a possibility. And you're right -- I should take a closer look at the hotel's location.
