Mike, from UK mentioned a wait for the ferry.( in response to my previous question.Shannon to Dingle). What kind of a wait? Hours? We arrive in Shannon on a Sat. morning, so would be taking the ferry Sat. afternoon early, I assume. If it'll be HOURS, we might just take the car only, direct, but longer route to Tralee then Dingle. Any experience with the Ferry traffic on Sat. in July<

The Killimer-Tarbert ferry runs every 30 minutes in the summer.

The unpredictable part is that it depends on how many cars are in line ahead of you when you arrive. I can't remember exactly how many vehicles it can accommodate, but it seems like maybe 30. Probably at worst maybe an hour to wait, plus the crossing time.
