I will be flying into shannon and want to know if there is a bus or shuttle that will take us to catch the ferry to the aran islands?

There is a bus to Doolin, which would be the closest location from which to get a ferry. You can use the Journey Planner at www.buseireann.ie to work out the schedule with your flight. Ferries can be canceled due to bad weather or rough water, and the Doolin ferry seems to be more often affected. The other most common port is at Rossaveal, just west of Galway.
