I just bought yard tickets for Shakespeare's Globe to see Hamlet on our last night in London, May 12th. The start time is 19:30, but I was wondering if anyone knows how far in advance we should arrive to pick up our tickets and get a reasonable spot in the yard? Thanks!
The doors of the theatre open 30 minutes before the start of the performance, but the queue to get into the yard with standing tickets begins an hour before. If you want to be at the front of the stage you need to get to the theatre with enough time to pick up your tickets and get to the door to queue. If it is your last night it might well be worth going to the theatre on a previous day to get your tickets printed out at the box office.
Thanks, Philip!
