We would like to stay at B&B's, 1 or 2 self-catering cottages, and a castle when we visit Ireland. We would like to find a self-catering cottage for 2 between The Burren and Connermara. We'll be there the end of June, early July. Last time we found a cottage by word of mouth, and it was lovely. Just wondering if anyone has a place they could recommend. Also looking for a B&B or self-catering cottage near the Cork area (with access to Cohb in particular) for the middle of July. Thanks,
Barbara
We spent two weeks in Ireland last summer and can recommend two locations to stay in the south western part of the country. We spent four nights in Kinsale at Harbour View Cottage (http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p490327). Kinsale is a wonderful location from which to explore the south coast. While there we visited Cobh, Cork, and the southwestern coast as well as spending time in the charming town of Kinsale. We spent another week at Rathellen House in Bansha, between Cahir and Tipperary. Rathellen House is a magical B&B/house rental close to many attractions. The owners provided much help in planning our travels both before and during our stay. At both places we felt welcomed and quite at home.
