Hello. My family and I are planning our first trip to London this summer. In fact, it is our first trip to Europe. We are very interested in booking an apartment in London from a company called Ivy Lettings. Can anyone confirm whether or not this is a legitimate apartment rental company? There is so much internet fraud these days and we want to be extremely careful. Not much worse than sowing up in Europe for the first time and not really having a place to stay with two kids in tow. Any help anyone could offer would be extremely appreciated.
Dear C.M.. I have done many vacation rentals and had only fantastic experiences - until I used Ivy Lettings. I chose them because I saw them mentioned favorably on one of the forums on this website. We reserved their property on Elvaston Place, and had to keep asking for the address and check in information long after they had charged our credit card. We were panicking two days before our flight. The apartment was completely misrepresented and we had to scramble to find a new place after one very unhappy night. Ivy Lettings would not let us switch out of these basement accommodations with heat and hot water problems into one of their other properties. They were very unhelpful and I would recommend avoiding them.
Interesting. C.m., why did you choose IvyLettings and what interests you about that particular apartment? Was the company recommended to you by someone you trust? There are lots of ways to find apartments if you have doubts about this company.
