Has anyone had any experience with seaweed baths in Ireland-if so, where, and how was the experience? Going to Ireland for a month next month.

Funny you should ask. Yesterday's blog post at www.irishfireside.com was a report of a personal experience with seaweed baths in County Sligo. I have no personal experience, but you can get a good idea of what it was like from Corey's blog. You can find the entry here: http://irishfireside.com/2010/07/22/seaweed-bath-strandhill/
On one of Rick's archived radio shows on Ireland, they talk about one of these. As I recall, you lay in seaweed and then they dump cold water on you. Not my cup of tea (I'm a warm blooded Florida boy). You can listen to his Ireland shows online or download them using iTunes to listen on your iPod.
I believe these are mentioned in the book "McCarthy's Bar" by the late Author Peter McCarthy...it's a great book to read in any case and should be required before going to Ireland.
