Seating in the Grand Circle at Prince Edward Theatre?

Can you see and hear from here? Or forget it and go to another theatre? It does cost $198.00 for 2 tickets. It is Jersey Boys. But I can get Rock of Ages tickets in stall for 175.00 for two!! I Know Shaftesbury Theatre!!! I do not want to wait and go to "tkts" booth.

Jana, Who are you buying from? $198 for 2 tickets seems too high. The max price for tickets in the Grand Circle is between 45 and 47.50 GBP a piece. That works out to about $77 per ticket or $154 total. That means the ticket agent has tacked on an extra $44 surcharge. This is the official box office for Jersey Boys. I'd suggest that you try looking for tickets there as they only charge a 2 GBP fee for ticket. www.delfontmackintosh.co.uk Theatremonkey lists other places that sell tickets and also has info on the seats: www.theatremonkey.com/PRINCEEDWARDbooking.htm I'd suggest that you read the reviews on theatremonkey about the Grand Circle seats that you are looking at. I saw Jersey Boys and really enjoyed it. I got a discount ticket from TKTS though and the ticket was in the stalls about half way back on the far left. I could see and hear fine.

Yes, it is not always obvious who runs the box office for a theatre. The theatremonkey.com site is an excellent resource for navigating the theatre options as it shows the official box office agent, as well as other options for ticket purchase, fees associated with various agents, seating charts, opinions on seats, etc.

Laura, I did go back to delfontmackintosh.co.uk and found the tickets you were talking about. Also in the stalls area!!!!! And, I checked the area out on theatremonkey and saw and read about the seats. Thanks once again. I am not going till end of Sept. and first of Oct. but I like to know what I can get!!!! I will say I will probably walk to the "tkts" area and try to get cheap tickets for Rock of Ages!!!! We lucked out in New York doing that and got on the 4th row at "Little Mermaid" hahaha could luck out in London!!!

On each visit to London use the Half Price Ticket Booth. Each time seats have been in the stalls, front row or 3rd row. All different theatres. Never a bad seat. In fact seeing as much of Rupert Graves posterior and other extremities as I did from the first row at Hurly Burly years ago was an eye opener to say the least. That and getting sprayed with beer.

Just to be clear, no guarantee Jersey Boys will be one of the plays that is offering half price tickets but it doesn't hurt to check. You can do that online now. What did we ever do without the all mighty and powerful internet?!?
http://www.tkts.co.uk/ Hooray, Jersey Boys tickets are on the list, all long with Billy Elliot, Chicago, Rock of Ages, Lion King, 39 Steps, to name a few. Hope they sell the ice cream cups for a pound during intermission at the Shaftsbury. Found that charming. Have fun!

The Grand Circle to so far back, those seats aren't worth $198.00. I always get tickets in the stalls, I feel if I'm going to go I want good seats so the price for seats in the stalls are well worth the money.

Every theatre I've been to has had ice cream at the interval ... but Claudia, you must have resisted the temptation because it definitely costs more than one pound! I'll add that I often choose the front of the Dress Circle for musicals (but it all depends on the theatre). I like being able to see the entire stage.
