We will be in Glasgow for a day. Any idea whatto do . I tried to get a tour with discover Scotland but they were booked. Thanks
Have you checked the "ports" section of cruisecritic.com as advised with your other port of call queries? Also the Glasgow Tourist Office can be found on line.
My wife and I did the Glasgow Hop on Hop off tour, it takes a solid 2 hours and would probably be a full day if you "hopped off" for anything you found interesting.
The Bus tour looks like a great idea. I would add Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum...it's free and the building itself looks fabulous. Also the Necropolis is realy cool.
We enjoyed the hop on/off bus. We got off at the restored clipper ship and did a self guided tour there. Then hopped back on. Took most of a morning. We also enjoyed window shopping at the smallish shopping mall that is almost totally jewelry shops. Day dreams galore!!!
It depends on what you like. I really enjoyed the Tenement Museum near the art school. Also, cathedral was fascinating. But, if you are at all interested in transport you have to got to the new transport museum on the Clyde. It moved there a few years ago into new building by Hadid. Pam
Thank You all for your information!!!
