How is the weather in Scotland (Edinburgh, Inverness, Skye) the first of april?
I believe all of Rick Steves' books have a weather chart in the back - check out his Great Britain edition.
A weather chart won't help much for Scotland in April - it could be warm and sunny, it could be bitterly cold and raining....or both in the same day.
Skye could still be quite chilly as it's so far north and storms come in from the Atlantic. Edinburgh probably will be in the 40s to low 60s, with possibly chillier nights.
But, to be honest, you won't really know until you get there. Pack lots of layers and a good rain jacket.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the warm and sunny most of the time, as we will be in Scotland (Edinburgh, Inverness and Skye) from 6th to 12th April next year.
