What are the latest Scandinavia tour weather updates? And what clothes worked best...shorts or pants.
Have you tried to "Google It" for latest weather info?
Scandinavia is a big place so the weather is like asking for how the weather is in the west. I used weather.com and put in the cities (not as helpful for small places) but gave me Oslo, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm, etc. And we had mostly 65-75 degree weather. My Texas family wore pants; the Oregon side felt fine in shorts.
Thanks for the internet weather tips...I am really looking for "clothing type" information... "To bring or not to bring" a jacket, jeans, etc. Air temps are sometimes deceiving as "on the water" is often "colder" than sitting in sun! Thanks for the Oregon/Texas clothing advise. More reports are appreciated.
Clint - I just got back from the RS Scandinavia tour (May/June) - plus an extra week in West Norway Fjord areas. It was warm and sunny most of my trip - but there were a few cooler/overcast days and some rain. The other posters are correct - check out 10-day weather.com (but dont rely on them only). Pack lite with layers and you will be ok. Light pants - and a light-but-waterproof jacket are a must (no ponchos - spend some $ on a good-light-shell from Mountain Hardwear or LLBean or Northface - get the best you can afford. Gortex-breathable = important!
A light fleece or wool is great for the cool windy boat rides. mix a couple long-and-short sleeve Ts, or some travel-friendly button-down short/long casual shirts.
