Scandinavia or Italy and Greece or Latvia, Lithunia and Estonia?

My husband and I are going to be in Europe for 10 days from August 20th to September 5th. I needed help / suggestions as to what options should we choose from the three listed below:
1. Scandinavia - mostly Norway, Denmark and another country
2. Italy and Greece
3. Latvia, Lithunia and Estonia.
We want a vacation where we can do some sight seeing, some hiking and some relaxing. I am really confused as to which options we shold pick from these three - I wish it could be easy.

I'm a little confused by your timeframe. August 20-September 5 seems more like 15 days to me. But if you only have 10 days, I would forget about trying to do Greece and Italy -- that's not enough time. You would need to pick one country or the other. I have been to neither, but I am pretty sure that at that time of year, they would be too hot for me.

Regarding number 3 -- I have only been to Tallinn, Estonia and only for a day, so I can't really comment on this choice.

Scandanavia would be a great choice, though you will have a hard time fitting in three countries in 10 days. You could do a couple of days in Bergen, the Norway in a Nutshell trip to Oslo (ideally stopping for a night in Balestrand), then a couple of days in Oslo. From there you could go to Copenhagen and see a bit of Denmark. Or try Stockholm, an incredibly beautiful city.

This is my bad, i meant that say that we have 14 days, excluding travel time. :)

With 14 days you could definitely do Norway, Copenhagen and Stockholm. Depending how you budget your time, you could take an overnight cruise to Helsinki or Tallinn and back from Stockholm. Scandinavia is wonderful and generally nice and cool that time of year. (I hate hot weather.)

If you're looking at costs, choice #3 would be the cheapest. Scandinavia is expensive at any time. I've been reading about Greece b/c I'm doing a quick 4 day there and August is the busy/expensive season. Look at some hotel prices and get an idea. I use booking.com and venere.com a lot, and also look in Rick's books.

yeah I figured than Scan would be the most expensive, but price is not a concern for us. Infact, we would rather do an mor expensive place now than later.
