Scandanvia this Summer with adolescents

I am taking my family to Scandanavia this summer we have approx 3 weeks in August. We will be picking up a new Volvo SUV european delivery in Goteburg, Sweeden and will be using it to get around. We have spent some time in Italy, Ireland, UK, and France in previous trips. I know we will have to spend some of our time in Bigger Cities but honestly I am kinda burned out on the whole cathedral, castle, city thing and would prefer to spend most of our time doing smaller town, nature, etc. We are not really interested in technical climbing etc. More fun things that a family can do together. We would prefer to travel to several countries but not feel rushed every day ( in the 7 countries in 8 days manner). There are several places the Volvo can be dropped off (with additional charges) so returning to Goteburg is not necessarily mandatory.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The west coast of Sweden south of Goteborg has some nice sandy beaches and small resort town. You could drive down as far as Helsingborg and ferry over to Denmark, or continue south to Malmo and take the bridge. Either way, you could spend a few days in Copenhagen and then loop up through Denmark, west and north to Fredrickshavn and ferry the car back to Goteborg. Or, after touring Denmark for a few days, you could drive south into Germany and explore northern Germany. A more nature-oriented trip would be to head north from Goteborg, along the rockier coast into Norway. wave a SAs goodbye to Saab when you pass Trollhatten. Visit Oslo, Bergen, drive up the coast, book some guided hikes on the glaciers, see Trondheim and enjoy the super long nights. Head back south along the rocky spine of Norway. From Oslo you could ferry or drive to Copenhagen for some Denmark or Germany time. I have done all of these drives and enjoyed them a lot. But bring lots of money; Scandinavia and Norway in particular is expensive.

I am topping this in hopes some others will have ideas. I ran out of room, but need to add that if they head into Germany they should definitely include Berlin.
