Which would you choose to stay for 2 nights in May? Also which B&B would you recommend? Thank you,
Som
I would stay in Salthill. My family & I had planned on staying in Galway city for 3 nights, after 1 we moved out to Salthill. Much nicer.
Thank you, would you recommend the B&B you stayed in? Jean
Hi Jean,
We stayed with Berna Kelly at Devondale B and B in Salthill. Berna is one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet and her place is amaizing, clean and welcoming. It is clean and within easy walking distance to everywhere in Galway. We were staying with her one night and then spending the next night on Inis Mor. I left my trusty had at a pub and did not discouver it until we were leaving for the airport to fly to the island. Berna went around to the pub later in the day and then called me on the island to let me know she had it. We stopped on the way back and got it, but the point is it was very good of her to do it. She makes home made preserves and jams and fresh sqeezed juice and a wonderful breakfast. She recomended an Italian restaraunt that had food as good as what we had in Rome. All in all, you will be delighted. If you do get there tell her I (Rob Dickinson) says hello (the guy who left his hat at the pub, she'll remember) and that we are planning on coming back in 2013 and we will stay with her then.
Thanks Rob; you are very close to us in Waterloo, ON. We're planning a 3 week holiday next Spring and are touring the whole of Ireland including Northern Ireland. Can't wait! Jean
Jean - Last summer our family stayed at Amber Hill B&B. It met our needs very well. We also used Galway Tour Company for coach tours to the Cliffs of Moher & Connemara & Cong.
This one looks great, will contact....
