I was just looking at Salisbury as a stopover on my "maybe" trip to Cornwall. It is not a hotel but a bed and breakfast I have to recommend. We stayed there 2 years ago..Grayling House. [email protected]. Of course it depends on how you are traveling and forgive me if you're set on an hotel. My only other choice is a pub just down the road. Both are in Stoford, Salisbury and are good if you're only passing thru.

In 2007, I spent several nights at Websters B&B, which is a short walk from the train station and about a 10 minute stroll into town. The rooms are very comfortable and the full English breakfast is delicious. They also have free wifi for your laptop.

Right in Salisbury- walking distance from everywhere- I have stayed in and recommend Kings Arms pub/inn. bathrooms down the hall, some creaky floors, but very authentic and cozy (i dont mean small). Treated well.
