Royal Wedding Adjustments

Hi, I am a teacher and planned our London trip for my Spring Break, right after Easter. A few weeks after I booked it, the announcement was made that Kate and William's wedding would be during that time. I am very excited to be there during such a historic time, but am a little nervous of the chaos that may ensue in the city. I have looked a lot on the Internet, but have not found much information. Will sites like Westminster be closed for the whole week? Are other sites changing their schedules? Also, for my guilty pleasure of royal watching, are there any suggestions for viewing the wedding procession? What route will they take? Is there any viewing locations where I will not have to spend the night to save a spot?
Thanks!

There is a lot of discussion on this site ; however nothing much is known to date. They have announced that the wedding day will be a Public Holiday- so that will affect things being open that day, and you can count on a lot of extra people in London on April 29th itself. someone else guessed/knows that westminster Abbey will probably be closed in the week leading up to the wedding. But there is so much else to see that wont be affected. And it will be an exciting time to be in London. Expect to enjoy it

They haven't annouced the route for the procession to Westminster Abbey yet. Westminster Abbey will probably be closed to the public at least a couple of days before the wedding, seeing as Easter is the Sunday before the wedding I'm sure it will be open for Easter services. Over 2 million people lined the streets when Prince Charles and Dianne was married so at least that many or more will be lining the street for this wedding. People will start lining up the night before. They will go to Buckingham Palace after the wedding to stand on the balcony so people can get a glimce of them. Whole area in front of Buckingham Palace will be nothing a mass of people.
