Has anyone done this self guided driving tour found in his guide book? I was just wondering if it is doable or too ambitious for a day. I've heard that area is so beautiful and I'm interested in fitting it in on our itinerary. Thanks.

Yes, my husband & I drove it this Sept.; we started a bit outside of Galway & ended up spending the night in Cong, lovely town. I think we started after 10:30 in the morning but if you got an earlier start, 1 day would work. The peat bog was fun & the famine walk memorial made an impact. have a great trip. Emilie
