Rick's Dartmoor Self-Guided Driving Tour - Can we shorten it?

Rick's all-day driving route in his England 2008 book is longer that we can devote that much time. Can anyone suggest a shorter version so that we can see the beauty of the area and any special sites that we shouldn't miss?
