The Thomas Cubitt pub is good. It may look really busy outside, but if you go inside and ask to go to the dining room upsatirs it's not as crowded. Food was very good. There's an Italian place a little further up the street in the opposite direction called Da Scalzo that was also good. The Ebury Wine Bar is on the corner of Ebury Street. It's very good. Read the titles of the books painted on the wall.

There are a number of restaurants on and around Sloane Square, and then down Kings Road. (and off Kings Road). You are also reasonably close to Beachamp Place (adjacent to Harrods) which is almost a restaurant row. Your hotel will also be able to point you at a number closer to where you are Ansd of course- harrods is a grrocery store par excellence

Candice, Are you referring to the area near Victoria Station? As I recall there were some small shops in the station with various food items. Regarding restaurants, what's your budget? For good meals in a "Pub atmosphere", try the Ebury Wine Bar. If you'd like something a bit more "upscale", one of the best Italian restaurants is further down Ebury. Check This Website for the details and a look at the awesome Menus. I had an incredible meal there on my last visit, but it wasn't cheap. If you don't mind taking a short ride on The Tube, you could also have a fine hot meal at This Restaurant. Happy travels!

For grocery stores there's a Waitrose on Motcomb Street.
Sure to be some mini Sainsbury/Tesco branches in the area - you could check on their branch locaters near where you are staying to see what that brings up.

Yes, I can. There are hundreds around there. What is "good"? Partridges for a top notch grocery store in Sloane Square. Tescos for a notch or two below.

A "good" restaurant would mean tasty food and good service. Specifically looking for a pub or Indian restaurant or any other where you'd go back again. Thanks again,
Candice

Thanks Ken for your referrals. We're staying on Ebury so the restaurants you recommended are
very close.

We're also staying in this area so will add these suggestions to those I got in my post asking for London favorites. Thanks.

I"ve eaten at The Kings Arms located at 77 Buckingham Palace Road and found the food good and the pub seemed full of locals. Another place I ate at was Chimes at Churton Street. There I had beef and mushroom pie, wine and a chocolate and brandy mousse and enjoyed it very much. Enjoy your trip.
