I would also very much appreciate any recommendations for a restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark that you may have come across which you might suggest we visit during our days in the city of Copenhagen. Thanks again. Gail Hennessey

We liked Atlas Bar (http://atlasbar.dk/) and Ravenlinen (http://www.ravelinen.dk/index.php?id=431&L=1). Restaurants in Copenhagen are expensive - these are two that we liked but there are many others! Ravenlinen isn't very trendy but the food was very good - it's a bit of a walk from the city center. You can check the restaurant reviews on Trip Advisor to make sure they are what you're looking for.
Haven't been to Copenhagen since Nixon was in office so can't offer recent restaurant information. However, these days, one of the best ways to discover a restaurant recommendation is to peruse food blogs. Maybe something like this: http://verygoodfood.dk/
The one place we liked enough to recommend is in Tivoli. The Danish name is Groften, it translates roughly to ditch (because of the area it was built in). We ordered a smorrebrot plate for four. The herring was better than I would have thought possible. http://www.nileguide.com/destination/copenhagen/restaurants/groften/345247
Anyone of the restaurants along Nyhavn. Mainly for the people watching, although the food I ate was good enough.
I agree with Tom, any restaurant along the Nyhavn is pretty good. At lunch some will feature the open face sandwiches which are very good and pretty filling. We stayed with family who did a traditional Danish lunch for us which includes beer and aquavit, a lot of fun.
