We will be in Ireland Sept. 20 thru Oct 3. We want to be free to linger in an area or get out of Dodge when we're done. During this time frame, is there any foreseen problems with not have reservations for accomodation?

That's one of the great things about traveling in the fall--flexibility. You modify your plans according the weather forecast or you preferences. It's a great way to travel.
