We arrived home late Thursday night- exhausted, but soooo happy with our Ireland trip. We originally planned on 14 nights, but extended it to 18 so we could come back after our car trip around the country to spend more time in Dublin. I strongly recommend at least 3 or 4 full days here! After asking for tips and receiving so much help from folks on this site, I just had to report back in that it was truly awesome. My husband and I especially loved our time in Dingle (it's every bit as wonderful as people say!) and also the village of Cong near Ashford Castle. It is such a peaceful setting. We stayed mostly in B&B's..not always booked ahead. One that wasn't so great had been suggested by our previous B&B host, but they had never been there themselves, just doing her a favor I suspect by forwarding customers. The other bad night was at the Ramada in Portrush. This place was like Grand Central Station all night long. We were booked to stay 2 nights, but checked out and headed south. Overall, lovely time, fantastic people, great pubs, unsually good weather, and one of the best vacations we've ever had! Thanks to you all!
