Greetings, My family is planning to travel to Stockholm this summer and rent an apartment for a month during which I'll give birth to our second child. I have a few questions and any information would be very helpful. 1. Which areas around Northern Stockholm would be good to rent/stay. We'd like good transportation and some nice parks to walk around with our young son. 2. Any suggestions for sites with information about rentals. We are planning to stay 35 days. I'm not really sure where to look. We'd like to rent an apartment during our stay. If you know of somewhere particular please let me know. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks,
Ashley
Ashley, Short-term rentals are very challenging to come by in Stockholm. There are many restrictions when it comes to second-hand leases. Are you talking about the city of Stockholm itself or the surrounding communities like Solna? In Stockholm itself just about any of the areas will have good transportation and parks. I'm not as familiar with the suburbs, but in general transportation in the area is good. For transportation links, you can check the website SL.se which has information on all the commuter trains (Pendeltåg), subway (tunnelbana) and bus routes in Stockholm county (Stockholms län). Because finding apartments is challenging, I'd suggest that you look to see what options there are first and then research those neighborhoods.
