Just curious if anyone has used Airbnb to rent a place in London and/or Paris? A travel agent referred me to their site and after reading about them online and seeing them mentioned in Money Magazine - I scouted well over 100 apartments in each city and wound up renting one in each. I guess I can't recommend them until I actually stay in the apartments but you may find them worthwhile to check out.

Thanks Claudia We are renting an apartment in Southwark near the Tate Modern. I have never stayed (muchless been) in this area - but the condo is very modern and new and is a 5 minute walk to St. Pauls - so, yes, (I believe) it's in a good area (also rented a great apartment in Paris (Marais) - so, hopefully, I will have a good report to give as well.

One of their biggest fans. Used them last year for the first time. Places in London pre and post a RS tour of Istanbul. Both places were great. Hosts fabulous. One property was excellent. If available it will be where I stay every time I'm in London. Hope you were certain to find a spot within London's Travel Zones 1 & 2 . Best for keeping public transport costs down.
