I will be traveling with my son and I'm looking for a reasonable hotel or B&B near the University of London Bloomsbury. I've got a room booked at the Mentone but read a recent comment on Trip Advisor that they had a problem with bed bugs!
We'll be staying at the Euro Hotel in September. It's reasonable, great location, includes breakfast and has good reviews on Venere and TripAdvisor.

Have fun on your trip with your son! :)
Steve beat me to it! The London School of Economics is in a great area, near Ye old Curiousity shop and White Horse Pub of Dickens fame, and there is a decent sized grocer Sainsburys across from the Holborn tube station.
Has anyone stayed at LSE, High Holborn? I read some reviews that complained of noise, from the high street, from noisy students, and from slamming doors. I would love to save money but not at the expense of sleepless nights.
Never mind the LSE. I just booked the Euro Hotel for 7 nights - I will have to find somewhere else for the first two nights, but worth it for what sounds like a good hotel in my preferred location.
