? re: change in airline rates

I am looking for advice from seasoned travelers who have booked online: Booking tickets from Philadelphia to Manchester England, leaving on July 13 and staying 2 weeks. Does anyone know if prices generally go up or down within the 2 week window prior to departure? I'm trying to get the best price but do not know if I should book today or wait until Wednesday, which generally is a cheaper day to book a flight. Thanks.

Lois, there is really no way to know. Policies vary by airline, time of year, fullness of a given flight, etc. The best advice I can give is if you are comfortable with the price now, go ahead and buy. There is no better than a 50/50 chance that it will change in your favor in the meantime, and generally, the closer you get to departure the more tickets cost.
