Rationing nights in Ireland....suggestions please :o)

I am trying to decide whether to spend 3 nights in Dingle and 1 in Kinsale, or 2 in Dingle and 2 in Kinsale. Any suggestions? We are going beggining of September. ALSO, is galway worth 2 nights with a day trip to the Aran Islands (Inishmore) OR should we hit up Connemara instead? We do not have time for both. Our total trip time is 10 days and nights and we are renting a car. We fly into and out of Dublin and plan to spend the first night in Trim and the last 3 nights in Dublin. Going from Dublin->Trim->Galway (side day trip to Inishmore)->Dingle->Kinsale->Dublin. Thanks in advance for ANY input!

Two nights is plenty for Dingle and Dublin. One is enough for Kinsale and Galway. With those adjustments you could fit in Commemara easily. With only ten days, the Arans wouldn't start to make my list.

By staying 3 nights in Dublin it was going to give us 2 full days. If we stay 2 nights it will be 1 full day and probably a half a day (or less), would that be enough time in Dublin to see all the major sites? Thanks for the info, it was very helpful.

The Aran Islands trip is going to be dependent on the weather. If the water is rough, the boats don't go. You should have alternate plans in case it doesn't look good weatherwise, and Connemara is a good alternative. It's always hard to allot time to places based on number of nights because i have no idea what you have planned for the days. Will you be arriving to a place in the evening or the afternoon? That would affect whether you had time to see anything before the first night. Likewise, after the second night somewhere will you be leaving immediately or spending time in the area? If you plan it well, you can do see the major sites in Dublin in a day and a half.

We loved Dingle and were bored in Kinsale after one day. Lots more to do in & around Dingle and the peninsula.
